Zabeen Mirza

Zabeen Mirza, is Head of the North American division of the Schranner Negotiation Institute and brings twelve years of business management, corporate strategy, and new venture development experience. A native New Yorker,  born and raised in Brooklyn, Zabeen spent the last 8 years in Dubai managing her own innovation advisory firm, where she was innovation advisor to the Prime Minister of Dubai. With a special focus on private equity, pre-commercial procurement (innovation), product development and brand innovation, Zabeen began her career on Wall Street at Oppenheimer & Co. later moving into management consulting to manage large scale advertising, marketing, and mass media projects at Bloomberg, Thomson Reuters, Goldman Sachs, the United Nations, Saatchi & Saatchi and Landor.

Zabeen's international experience and expertise include intense mediation and negotiation for joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions, and the oversight of funding contracts and favorable equity exchanges for new ventures. On a corporate level, her work involved securing multi-million dollar contracts for corporate incubation endeavors and research & development divisions, as well as representing the interests of corporate clients through alternative dispute resolution (ADR). She has managed such clients as Emirates Airlines, Aston Martin, Messe Frankfurt, the Malala Fund, the government of the UAE, the government of Qatar, I.M. Pei, and high profile individuals such as Diego Maradona, Philippe Starck, Alain Ducasse, Damien Hurst, Louise Bourgeois, and Takashi Murakami.

To date, Zabeen has trained and certified over 1,500 executives in marketing, human resource management, business organization, and business communications through the University of Cambridge Advanced Business Diploma. She is a frequent lecturer at ETH Zurich in Switzerland, and a mentor at the City University of New York Hub for Innovation and Entrepreneurship.
