What is The Negotiation Challenge?

The Negotiation Challenge (TNC) is one of the world's most established negotiation competitions and is widely regarded as the unofficial World Championship in Negotiation. Professionals from business, law, politics, and diplomacy come together to compete in realistic negotiation scenarios, learn from one another, and test their skills in a highly competitive environment. Through the partnership between the Schranner Negotiation Institute and TNC, participants benefit from the combination of practical negotiation experience and a rigorous academic foundation.

Competition Format

Participants compete in a series of realistic negotiation simulations developed exclusively for The Negotiation Challenge. Each negotiation is assessed by an international panel of academics and experienced practitioners, using a proven evaluation methodology. The cases are designed and reviewed by leading negotiation experts, ensuring both practical relevance and academic rigor throughout the competition.

COMPETITION SCHEDULE

The Negotiation Challenge for professionals is a negotiation competition with a global reach. To help connect the best negotiators across the continents all negotiation rounds take place completely online. We have carefully considered how to balance a busy schedule of successful business professionals with their potential interests in taking part in TNC and designed the negotiation rounds so that they offer maximum scheduling flexibility across the time zones of the participants are located in.
